When I look back it's hard to imagine that I documented my first wedding nearly 15 years ago. Yet I'm still just as passionate, perhaps even more so, Each year I improve my skills by capturing memories for my clients that last a lifetime. I've been privileged to have met my wife such a encouraging insperation to me and my talent as a photographer and be able to share my experience with other photographers. I've also been fortunate to have been featured in various national fashion and wedding magazines. I take my role as an image maker very seriously. I don't view my career as simply taking pictures. Instead I document the stories, moments and emotions in the lives of my clients and try to do so as an observer in a fashion that years later will reflect back the feelings they shared on that day.
I truly feel blessed to be in such a wonderful profession amongst a community of other photographers that are there for each other, ready to offer advice, ideas or any other assistance. The image to the left was taken by a close friend of ours and perhaps one of the best photographers in the country, Tomas Ramos.

I became interested in Art at an early age, I still remember my 5th grade art teacher displaying baskets of fruit and objects in the center of all our desks, using an old tin clip on light as our source, we would simply draw and shade what was in front of us. My first Oil Painting at Redlands High School sold for $2,000 at a Mall Show. When I met my wife Aimee, she asked me to help her do make up at a fashion show for Lorel Bass New York, and I was so in Love (now that's love!) I accepted and picked it up quick. We chose to learn more advanced techniques through Acadamy Award Winning Make up Artist' Barry Berger and Maurice Stein, and began Aimee-zing Faces in 1998. Shortly after our first Feature Film and Music Video, Aimee purchased me my first Nikon, I just picked up the camera and started shooting, and learning.
I have had the honor of being a "Best Pick" in 2008 And 2009 on The Knot and in 2006 ISES Award for Best Event Photography. I have photographed Rock Stars, and Celebrities, Magazine Covers and Swimsuit Calanders in Cabo, but I am just as comfortable for a Wedding or Senior Portrait. I feel after shooting over 500 Weddings, that I got it, and when my clients "get it" they participate even more and see the joy in my work.
When I went into the pro-digital age of cameras, I began a new adventure with my work, I have learned to shoot high speed, and love doing so, not to hopefully get one good shot, but I get thousands! My average Wedding is over 4000 Images, by myself with no assistants, my average shoot is fun and exciting, I do not "Pose" anyone, but getting to the posed shots my way, I like people to be themselves and not feel pressure to get a picture on "1,2,3". Lifestyle Photojournalism is what I like, just natural and un-rehearsed, life is a series of observations, from our youth to everyday we observe to learn and learn to observe, I have learned to observe and capture these moments for my clients to last forever.
Please enjoy my Galleries of images, and I hope to see you very soon.
